The importance of sustainability is increasingly prevalent across all aspects of our lives, and our corporative lives are no exception. BIBA’s commitment extends to its annual conference and exhibition. Detailed below are just some of the things you might like to consider when attending.

  • Where possible consider taking the train – Manchester is served by most major UK cities.
  • Do you drive to the event? If so, look at implementing a car share scheme.
  • Metroshuttle buses are free and link the city centre’s main rail stations.
  • Metrolink trams run every few minutes from early morning until late in the evening.
  • Look for green hotels with eco-friendly initiatives such as recycling in guest rooms, paperless reservation and check-out procedures, and linen re-use programmes.
  • Place recyclables such as paper, plastic bottles and cans in Manchester Central’s recycling bins.
  • Please bring your reusable water bottle and fill it up using the water towers located around the Exhibition Hall.
