The importance of sustainability is increasingly prevalent across all aspects of our lives, and our corporate lives are no exception. BIBA’s commitment extends to our annual conference and exhibition. BIBA is taking measures to reduce waste and minimise the environmental impact of the event where possible and would ask attendees to do the same. Below are several considerations for attendees:
- Opt for train travel whenever possible.
- If driving, consider a car share scheme.
- Make the most of the free Metroshuttle buses, connecting the Manchester’s main rail stations.
- Take advantage of the frequent Metrolink tram services, running from early morning until late evening.
- Choose green hotels with eco-friendly initiatives, such as guest room recycling, paperless reservation and check-out processes, and linen reuse programs.
- Place recyclables such as paper, plastic bottles and cans in Manchester Central’s recycling bins.
- Bring a reusable water bottle and refill it at the water stations conveniently located throughout the exhibition hall.
