The BIBA Conference will take the opportunity to lead the conversation in defining what brokers want the future of the industry to look like with new energy, ideas, revenue streams and challenges.
Insurance brokers are known to look creatively at the world’s emerging risks and ‘A New Era’ explores more options to do just that.
Graeme Trudgill, BIBA CEO, said: “Reflecting on what has impacted us since the Millenium is incredibly important when looking forward. We have experienced much change in the last 25 years: Seven Prime Ministers, a new regulator (the FCA) and its subsequent rules, Brexit, a cost-of-living crisis and changing risks. We have a new Government with a challenging growth strategy that insurance brokers can help deliver. Now is the time to look forward with a fresh perspective on what’s to come, and I know that our members will find insurance solutions for the new risks people and businesses will face as we enter ‘A New Era’ of broking.”
The BIBA Conference is the largest insurance broking exhibition in Europe and offers a plethora of networking and learning opportunities. With 9500+ attendees and more than 230 exhibitors including insurers, service providers, brokers and software houses. While making new connections and getting business done is the main objective; there is also a jam-packed line-up including industry and celebrity speakers on the keynote, seminar and fringe stages.
Young Broker Day will be on Day 2 of The BIBA Conference and, for the first time, all young insurance professionals looking to excel in their career are invited. So brokers, underwriters and claims handlers can attend free of charge to discuss being part of ‘A New Era’ and hear from speakers with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Emma Chapman, BIBA Conference Director, concluded: “Revealing our Conference theme each year is exciting for us and launching ‘A New Era’ is exceptionally so. While we should reflect on what has happened, it is equally as important to explore how ‘A New Era’ of insurance will look and how we at BIBA can continue to support brokers. Our seminar sessions will cover important topics including Fair Value, claims, regulation and capacity. We are also working hard on developing features that will enhance our attendees’ experience at the Conference and we can’t wait to share more in the New Year.”
The BIBA Conference 2025 – A New Era will be hosted by BBC Broadcaster, Clive Myrie, and opens at 8:00am on 14 May and will finish at 4pm on 15 May at Manchester Central.
